Ex. Kay Robertson Collection #11212
A classic example of rhodonite with galena and spessartine garnet from Broken Hill. This specimen hosts a group of highly complex rhodonite crystals intergrown with galena and spessartine. The rhodonite crystals exhibit somewhat rounded, blocky forms with varying luster, marked translucence, and handsome red color. The rhodonite crystals are intimately intergrown with the darker colored spessartine crystals. The spessartine garnet crystals exhibit sharp faces and brilliant, wet-looking, luster with a dark reddish brown color. From the Kay Robertson Collection and retains its original label.
