Description: A classic example of rhodochrosite from this famed Japanese locale. This specimen hosts a rich showing of multi-hued, botryoidal pink rhodochrosite with scattered crystals of golden metallic pyrite embedded within. This specimen was originally labelled as coming from Tawara, however it was later determined to be from the Oppu Mine. From the famed rhodochrosite collection of Bill Logan - who literally wrote the book on the subject - "Rhodochrosite: Crystals of Drama and Nuance". Come with original label as well.
