Description: A classic example of rhodochrosite from Peru. A single sharp crystal of reddish-pink rhodochrosite in association with a tiny fluorite crystal and a small amount of intergrown matrix. The crystal exhibits a combination of velveteen and glassy luster with gemmy clarity. There is an area where there is a complexly stepped feature near the termination.
