This piece is a rarely seen matrix specimen of Tanzanite featuring a few multi-colored, thin, prismatic gemmy crystals of Tanzanite on contrasting white Calcite matrix with minor Pyrite. A few of the Tanzanite crystals are contacted, but the main crystal in the front, which measures 5.1 cm, is in very good condition. The beautiful purplish-blue and yellow color zoning along with the high luster and excellent gemminess of the crystals makes for a wonderfully well-rounded specimen. A gorgeous and three-dimensional small cabinet display specimen and matrix specimens are few and far between. It also comes with a custom made display base.
